Our company motto is “Faith, Family, Work. In that order.” And recently, we were able to bring our faith into a work project – something we always enjoy doing.
Click Rain donated and built a website and new ticketing system for the Sioux Falls Prayer Breakfast, which brings together area businesspeople on Good Friday each year.
This year’s speakers, Renee Napier and Eric Smallridge, spoke on a theme appropriate for the Lenten season: forgiveness. As the drunk driver in the incident that took Renee’s daughter Meagan and Meagan's friend lives, Smallridge spent 9 years in prison. While incarcerated, Renee made peace with him and since his release, they began traveling and speaking together.
“They shared a testimony of forgiveness that everyone can learn from,” said Eric Ellefson, partner at Click Rain. “Their dynamic story proves the power of God's unconditional love and that through him, all things are possible.”
Eric served on the board that organized the breakfast, and has future plans to co-chair, and eventually chair the event.
The Sioux Falls Prayer Breakfast is put on by the Christian Businessmen’s Connection. Every year, over 1,200 businessmen and women take time out of their day to hear the Gospel and participate in fellowship with like-minded Sioux Falls citizens.
As a company who firmly believes our purpose is greater than website development and online marketing, we were honored to participate in the event.
"It's rare for businesspeople to bring their faith so openly into the workplace." Eric said. "I love that Click Rain not only allows it, but encourages it."
