The Content Writer is responsible for writing and publishing all forms of web-based content for all Click Rain clients across several different industries. Assignments may include writing content for websites & campaign landing pages, digital media tactics, content calendars & social posts, blogs, email marketing campaigns, micro-content, and more. The ideal candidate will first and foremost be an excellent writer. The ability to produce useful and meaningful content that is not only compelling and concise, but is creative, user-friendly, appropriate within the given context, conversion-based, and on-brand. He or she must not only have a passion for web-based writing but must be able to work in a collaborative, open, flexible team environment

Qualities

  • Ability to translate ideas into relevant copy
  • Proven ability to write succinct copy that is grammatically correct
  • Ability to adapt writing style for various audiences and brand standards
  • Ability to meet and/or exceed deadlines
  • High attention to detail and organization
  • Ability to accept feedback and revisions
  • Proficient with Google products (Google Sheets, Google Docs, etc.)
  • Effective communicator
  • Adaptable writing style to meet Flesch-Kincaid readability levels
  • Demonstrates a firm understanding of essential and nonessential content
  • Knowledge of website writing and marketing basics and best practices
  • Resourceful and independent research skills
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines at once

Responsibilities

  • Develop content deliverables for a wide range of clients and industries
  • Publish content within various CMS’, social media, and email platforms
  • Collaborate and assist in strategic ideation of creative concepts
  • Translate strategic direction into actionable, succinct, and grammatically correct content
  • Execute and manage client editorial calendars
  • Proofread and edit content from clients and internal teams
  • Meaningfully contribute to client discussions

Preferred Experience

  • 3+ years of experience writing web-based content
  • Experience working in an agency environment a plus
