Dip-offs and mission trips. Claw machines and slow claps. Rain drops and bake-offs.

We invest in people.

Our culture can be described a lot of ways. It’s fun, innovative, award-winning, and different. We care about the people who work here, and we care about the work we send out into the world.

We’re an online marketing and web development agency in Sioux Falls, S.D., with clients in over 25 states. We don’t work in a specialized niche—variety is the spice of life, after all. Our clients are in industries like hospitality, tourism, higher education, financial services, healthcare, and consumer products.

Our priorities are faith, family, work—in that order. While we spend the majority of our waking hours at work, we know there’s much more to life. We’re growing, but our culture hasn’t shifted from the one-person startup that started in 2008.

To document our culture, we wrote a short book on it last year. We hope you’ll take some time to learn about the culture we’ve created and the people who make each day at Click Rain great.

If we could describe ourselves in one word...

Specific duties will include data analysis, monitoring and reporting on web analytics, managing digital media campaigns (paid search, display, programmatic, video, social), developing email marketing strategies, writing and implementing marketing automation campaigns, and other marketing technology tactics. The marketing strategist will be responsible for interacting with clients, attending client meetings, and attending related networking functions as requested, representing the company in a professional manner.

    • Advanced level of familiarity with marketing technology strategies including PPC, SEO, email marketing, programmatic, video ads, marketing automation, dynamic content, social media management, and online reputation management.
    • Familiarity with web development principles, including content management tools, usability, information architecture, and design concepts.
    • The ability to develop comprehensive marketing strategies, tied to the actions taken on websites, to create measurable ROI campaigns.
    • Deep understanding of digital tracking and reporting platforms, including Google Analytics.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
    • Strong business writing skills.
    • The ability to multitask, taking on a variety of roles and responsibilities for the good of the company and clients.
    • Self-starter with the ability to identify client needs and opportunities and address them with little direction.
    • Knowledge of marketing technology platforms, paid search platforms, design software, and analytics software. Basic knowledge of HTML beneficial but not required.
    • At least 3 years related work experience.
  • Senior Web Developer

Click Rain developers are multitalented—they're comfortable with both front-end and back-end development, understand SEO best practices, know how IE is going to break a website before firing up the browser, and often bike to work.

    • You've been around. You have five plus years of development experience, and a portfolio (or Git repository) to prove it.
    • You are extremely detail oriented. Your spelling and grammar are impeccable. You are meticulous at testing for grammatical, browser, and functional issues in your code before pushing changes live. You embody the high-quality standards of Click Rain's brand.
    • You know your letters. You'll be expected to build sites in PHP, HTML, SASS, and jQuery. Experience with ExpressionEngine or Craft CMS will give you a major leg-up as well.
    • You're comfortable seeing a site through to completion. You can take a PSD file from a designer, slice it into HTML, build it onto a CMS framework, and update the DNS to launch it a few weeks later.
    • You understand responsive web design and development. You understand that the mobile web is the *only* web for many.
    • You bring a strategy to your web projects. Your sites are more than just a digitalized brochure—they are a marketing tool used to achieve a business objective. And you feel comfortable bringing that strategy to clients.

  • We have the benefits you should expect from a small tech company. The good stuff like health, dental, matching 401k, company-paid service projects, etc. But we also rock the free soda, casual dress, an AirWolf machine, and a great team of people!
  • We work 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, but sporadically have needs that fall beyond those hours. Sometimes those extra hours involve travel.
  • We don't lack culture, benefits, or great people. If you’re fun and nerdy, here are an infographic's worth of reasons to join our team.
